All summer long, Maranatha features compelling speakers and inspiring mission groups to feed and inspire our guests and members. Bible teaching and worldwide missions is the foundation we were built on almost nine decades ago and we plan to continue this great tradition as long as the Lord allows, or until His triumphant return!
Speakers
Bold proclamation of God’s word has been a foundation of Maranatha’s ministry throughout its 88-year history. Through those years, Maranatha has hosted some of the most prominent preachers and teachers in Evangelicalism to enrich and encourage our guests. Each year, great time and care is spent in selecting a variety of speakers who will bring both expository and topical subjects for the week’s teaching. We are always looking for new and inspiring voices to become part of our programming heritage!
Missions
Another foundation for Maranatha is presenting mission groups from around the world, who come to engage guests and members for prayers and financial support. Through the years, Maranatha guests and members have provided millions of dollars to support the expansion of the Gospel through these various ministries. Mission groups typically bring a project for consideration and engage with our guests and members throughout the week. You can find a list of the year’s Missions in our summer schedule. One of the most special times is our prayer walk to the Prayer Tower to pray for our missionaries. This is just another reason why vacationing at Maranatha is all about kingdom work!
