DESCRIPTION:A Christian singer/songwriter\, Jason Gray bridges the gap between inward-thinking contemporary folk and hook-minded pop\, adding his own spiritual perspective to the mix. Gray emerged in the 2000s and gained wider recognition after signing to Centricity Music. He is a two-time ASCAP Performance Award winner and has scored two Top Ten Christian chart hits with “Good to Be Alive” off 2011’s A Way to See in the Dark and “With Every Act of Love” off 2014’s Love Will Have the Final Word. His fifth album\, 2016’s Where the Light Gets In\, peaked at number five on Billboard’s Christian Albums Chart. \nMoved by the straightforward honesty and devotional nature of his songs\, Centricity Music signed Gray in 2006; the label released the heartfelt All the Lovely Losers the following year. The live recording Acoustic Storytime and Everything Sad Is Coming Untrue followed in 2008 and 2009\, respectively. DESCRIPTION:The music of the Foto Sisters is a charming and unique blend of sacred\, classical\, cinematic\, and pop styles\, with a hint of Celtic. Audiences across the United States have been delighted and inspired by their heartfelt melodies and graceful instrumentation. For over seventeen years\, this classically-trained sibling trio has appeared in many different venues\, including churches\, conferences\, schools\, cantatas\, weddings\, and charity events. “It’s hard to remember life as sisters without music\,” says Gaylyn. \nIn 2015 the Foto Sisters were invited to perform for the National Day of Prayer held at the Louisiana State Capitol\, followed by 2016 and 2017 appearances at the Louisiana Governor’s Prayer Breakfast. Other performance opportunities include the National Quartet Convention\, regular appearances at the Creation Museum\, and performing the United States National Anthem at two NFL games: the New Orleans Saints\, and the Denver Broncos. He holds a Master’s Degree in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary and serves as a pastor in the Anglican Church of North America. He continues to write for the Our Daily Bread devotional and has written many Bible study booklets for ODBM’s Discovery Series. He has also published a number of books with Our Daily Bread Publishing\, the latest being Wisdom for Our Worries and Gospel on the Mountains. Bill also serves as a co-host with Mart DeHaan\, Elisa Morgan\, and Daniel Ryan Day on the “Discover the Word” daily radio program\, heard nationwide. On the personal front\, Bill and his wife\, Marlene\, have been married for over 40 years and have five adult children and a growing legion of grandchildren. SUMMARY:George Murray - Week Seven
DESCRIPTION:George Murray is a missionary at heart. He and his wife\, Annette\, along with their four children\, were engaged in pioneer evangelism and church planting for 13 years in the spiritually needy country of Italy. For the next 17 years\, he directed two missionary organizations: Bible Christian Union (330 missionaries in 14 countries of Europe) and The Evangelical Alliance Mission (TEAM\, with 1\,100 missionaries in 42 countries worldwide). Following his leadership and experience in the field of missions\, he assumed the leadership of Columbia International University (CIU) in Columbia\, South Carolina\, first as CIU’s President (2000 – 2007)\, and then as CIU’s Chancellor (2007-2017). Columbia International University specializes in training people for Great Commission service around the world. George has traveled and ministered all across the United States of America and in 83 other countries. He has been happily married to Annette since 1969\, and their four children (all married) have blessed them with nine grandchildren (8 boys and 1 girl). George is a graduate of CIU (B.A.\, 1967; M.A.\, 1981) and Trinity International University (D.Miss\, 1995). Annette is a graduate of CIU (B.A.\, 1969) and Biblical Theological Seminary (M.A. in Theology/Counseling\, 1995). DESCRIPTION:Steve has served as senior pastor of Bethel Church in NW Indiana/Chicagoland since 1997. His ministry passions include expository preaching\, the doctrines of grace\, helping the church engage its culture\, and the beauty of God. He often speaks in contexts outside of Bethel\, is a council member of The Gospel Coalition\, and enjoys traveling as a part of Bethel’s global mission efforts. He also serves on the board of Global Action\, an international missions organization providing theological training for church leaders worldwide. \nIn addition to weekends at Bethel\, Steve’s teaching ministry can be heard through Bethel’s media ministry\, The Journey. This teaching ministry airs weekdays and weekends on stations across the country. Steve is the author of Eyes Wide Open (2012)\, Enjoying God in Everything (2022)\, and Loneliness: Don’t Hate it or Waste it. Redeem it (2024). \nA Cornerstone University and Grand Rapids Theological Seminary graduate\, Steve’s interests include reading\, travel\, sports of all kinds\, and rooting for University of Iowa sports. You are likely to run into him at a golf course near you. \nAfter serving as a single pastor for many years\, Steve married Jennifer in August of 2012.
