DESCRIPTION:Dr. Michael Rydelnik is Emeritus Academic Dean/Professor of Jewish Studies and Bible at Moody Bible Institute. He is also the Host/Bible Teacher on Open Line with Dr. Michael Rydelnik\, answering listener Bible questions on 300 stations nationwide across Moody Radio. The son of Holocaust survivors\, he was raised in an observant Jewish home in Brooklyn\, New York. As a high school student\, Michael became a follower of Jesus the Messiah and began teaching the Bible almost immediately. \nBesides his work on The Moody Bible Commentary and The Moody Handbook of Messianic Prophecy as co-editor and contributor\, Michael is also the author of 50 Most Important Bible Questions\, The Messianic Hope: Is the Hebrew Bible Really Messianic? and Understanding the Arab Israeli Conflict.   In addition to leading Bible lands tours and his wide speaking ministry\, Michael has also contributed to multiple study Bibles\, books\, and theological journals.  Michael and his wife Eva live in Grand Rapids\, love hiking with their collie and boxer\, and have two terrific adult sons\, a delightful daughter-in-law and the cutest two grandchildren in the world. \n\nMission of the week: \n \nMoody Bible Institute \nMoody exists to equip people with the truth of God’s Word to be maturing followers of Christ who are making disciples around the world.

Pastor Mike earned his Master’s Degree from Talbot School of Theology and a Doctorate from Westminster Theological Seminary in California. \nMike is heard on hundreds of radio programs across the country on the Focal Point radio program and has authored several books\, including Envy\, 10 Mistakes People Make About Heaven\, Hell and the Afterlife\, Raising Men Not Boys\, Lifelines for Tough Times\, Preaching That Changes Lives\, Getting It Right\, Praying for Sunday\, and Why the Bible? \nCarlynn and Mike have three adult children – Matthew\, John and Stephanie\, and have six grandchildren. \n\nMission of the week: \n \nCrossroads Prison Ministry \nCrossroads connects people in prisons with mentors from churches to develop Christ-centered relationships as they study God’s Word together.
